Spain's Angulas Aguinaga works to 'de-seasonalize' seafood sales in drive to double revenues
The group's ambitious financial goals will require new sales approaches, the company's top marketing executive said.
Spanish seafood processor and surimi producer Angulas Aguinaga says it hasn't given up on its long-term goal of "de-seasonalizing" products lines and turning them into everyday meals.
While the Christmas period remains the busiest time of the year for the company, its marketing executives are tinkering with this sales approach as part of an effort to achieve ambitious financial goals.
"[We want to] ensure that our work is just as intense throughout the year,” said Angulas Aguinaga Marketing Director Mikel Grande in an article posted on his company's Linkedin page.
In mid 2020, Angulas Aguinaga launched a strategy aimed at turning it into a multinational food processing company and more than doubling sales to €450 million ($505 million) by the end of 2025.
It also unveiled plans to invest €28 million ($33.8 million) into a new facility operated by subsidiary Linamar, and in September it acquired Italian seafood supplier Deligusti as part of its plans for further consolidation and expansion in the wider European market.
