Norwegian salmon prices edged lower on Friday with much of the salmon trade for delivery next week still unsettled.

"Prices are going down a bit. There is the most pressure on the smallest fish, i.e. those under 5 kilograms," one exporter told IntraFish.

The exporter said he hadn't traded much on Friday, noting that the market is playing a waiting game.

"It seems that a lot of fish are being processed at the moment, and there has also been some unsold fish left over from last week," the exporter added, adding that prices for core sizes could end the day at NOK 62-66 (€6.07-€6.46/$5.97-$6.36)
