A longtime managing purchaser for Darden Restaurants, which owns several major US restaurant brands including Yard House and Olive Garden, has left her role.

Patricia La Belle, who has been with Darden for 17 years, said on LinkedIn her "chapter has ended" at the company.

La Belle served as a managing purchaser with Darden for six years. She has also worked for the company as a senior distribution operations analyst, a product supply analyst, a redistribution and seafood product supply representative and as a product supply representative and logistics analyst.

Darden Restaurants have been on a financial roller coaster since COVID-19 forced in-person dining closures around the United States and globally.

In May the company reported its restaurant sales declined by nearly 50 percent through the fourth quarter of this year so far.

Customer transactions at major quick service US restaurant chains were down 11 percent compared to a year ago in the week ending July 26, according to data from the NPD group.
