Thai Union's tuna ingredients subsidiary launched UniQBONE, a protein powder converted from tuna bones, as part of the company's efforts to ensure "every part of every fish is properly used."
Thai Union, in addition to its status as one of the world's top tuna canners, is also the world's largest tuna ingredients manufacturer.
The new protein powder, produced in the Thai Union-owned Songkla Canning facility in southern Thailand, can be used for different types of food, capsules, tablets, and as an additive in pet nutrition.
