The whitefish supply crisis brought on by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and global logistics challenges is threatening the UK's historic fish and chips sector.

UK fish and shop customers have long demanded cod and haddock, but recently a handful of shops began trialing alternative species -- an option that was frowned upon not so many years ago.

Editor-in-Chief Drew Cherry and reporter John Evans discuss the ongoing situation and the options facing fish and chips shop owners.

The whitefish crisis is also impacting suppliers of pollock, however, this time in a largely positive way; product prices are at nearly record highs and demand continues strong for US- supplied product.

IntraFish reporter Rachel Sapin explains the market dynamics at play in the global Alaska pollock market and what buyers can expect for the rest of the year and into 2023.
