Florida-based Sea Delight Group, partners from investment group Devonian Capital and an unnamed third investor have injected a combined $1.4 million (€1.2 million) in US land-based pompano farmer Aquaco as part of an overall $2 million (€1.7 million) capital raise.

In January, the company raised $600,000 (€530,000) of the the $2 million through the Harvest Returns crowdfunding platform, which facilitates capital raises for small to medium-sized farmers and ranchers.

Sea Delight, which operates Atlantic Fisheries, Sea Delight USA, Sea Delight Canada and Sea Delight Europe, invested $1 million (€880,000) in the fledgling fish farming venture, with $750,000 (€656,745) coming direct from the company and $250,000 (€218,917) from Sea Delight Chairman Eugenio Sanchez's private investment company, Tamaran Investment.
