Dutch feed group Nutreco has appointed Rob Binnekamp as managing director of its Middle East and Africa division.

Binnekamp has worked for Nutreco for 10 years, joining the group from French food conglomerate Danone, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Binnekamp's new role, which also includes oversight of Nutreco aquaculture subsidiary Skretting and land-based protein subsidiary Trouw, is part of a major reshuffling that took place at the parent company. In April, Nutreco announced CEO Fulco van Lede and Skretting CEO Therese Log Bergjord would be leaving the group.

Binnekamp succeeds Pieter Bastiaanssen, who assumed the role of managing director for Europe and Central Asia at Skretting. Bastiaanssen took over that role from Bastiaan van Tilburg, the new Skretting CEO.

David Blakemore was named Nutreco CEO as part of the change.
