BioMar Australia has begun operations at its Wesley Vale, Tasmania facility, which will produce around 110,000 metric tons of feed annually, more than a year after the company got its construction approval.
Laboratories and offices are already in operation in the facility and around 38 employees have been staffed.
“The team have moved into the new office build and 'wet commissioning' where we run all factory machinery and control systems is underway as per our detailed plan,” BioMar Australia Managing Director David Whyte said.
