US fast-food chicken chain El Pollo Loco announced the launch of five new Baja shrimp menu items to its existing chicken items, eliminating the need “to choose between chicken and shrimp by combining the two for a variety of flavorful entrees.”
The new, limited-time offers include Chicken, Shrimp & Sausage Paella Bowl, Chicken & Shrimp Tostada, Chicken & Shrimp Tacos, Chicken & Shrimp Enchiladas and the Chicken & Shrimp Platter, featuring a chicken breast, shrimp, chipotle cream, broccoli and rice.
It’s not the first time the California-based chain has added seafood items — it featured four shrimp items on the Lent menu earlier this year — but the move is still big for El Pollo Loco, which says the chain’s Baja shrimp “has quickly become a fan favorite.”
