Chilean salmon exports to China remain halted with no shipments sent for a second consecutive week in the face of the coronavirus global health emergency, Chilean salmon producers trade body SalmonChile told IntraFish.

“It’s still totally paralyzed,” SalmonChile President Arturo Clement said.

SalmonChile says shipments to China will remain halted until the health emergency is under control and with demand at demand minimal levels.

With people in China avoiding crowds, restaurants and supermarket chains have seen custom fall away.

"It's been pretty disrupting for our business," New World Currents CEO Nicolas Terrazas told IntraFish.
