The minister said the fisheries sector grew continuously in the first quarter of this year.
Overall GDP performance in fisheries productd totaled THB 29.4 billion ($884.1 million/€676 million), an increase of 2 percent compared to the same period last year.
Exports of fisheries product totaled 447,797 tons in volume and THB 47.4 billion ($1.4 billion/€1 billion) in value, or an increase of 0.64 percent.
The increase resulted from higher exports of shrimp and shrimp products, which accounted for 68,613 tons in volume, or THB 16.4
