AquaChile, Cermaq, Mowi and Salmones Aysen are joining forces to establish a new trade group aimed at easing production site permitting restrictions as part of a drive to expand the salmon farming industry in Chile.
The new umbrella group will be known as El Consejo del Salmon de Chile (The Chile Salmon Council).
Over the next six months or so the organization will not be looking to attract new members while it is being set up, but it expects to do so later.
