Norwegian farmed salmon prices remain high following last week’s surge, but few trades are being made, suggesting buyers aren't clear how big of a position to take with holidays across Europe still under the shadow of coronavirus, industry members told IntraFish.
A number of exporters told IntraFish they have not traded much volume on Friday lunchtime, but reported similar prices to last week.
The emergence of the new omicron variant and subsequent lockdowns, is affecting how much people are buying, one exporter said.
