ONE of Iceland's seafood processing machine manufacturers has received the national award for exports.
President îlafur Ragnar Gr’msson presented 3X Stal with the President of Iceland's Award for Export Achievement at a ceremony at Bessastadir, his official residence, on April 19. Company owners Albert Marzel’us Hšgnason and J—hann J—nasson accepted the award.
First presented in 1989, the award is given in recognition of outstanding achievement in strengthening the nation's export sector. Award regulations stipulate that it shall be presented to companies or individuals, Icelandic or foreign, for successful results in exporting Icelandic goods or services to international markets.
