Foodex Meatex, part of the only group of trade shows in the UK to cover processing, packaging and retailing under one roof, returns for its biggest ever exhibition at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Ewen Cook reports
Though its title might suggest otherwise, Foodex Meatex is actually one of the biggest opportunities in the UK for seafood processing equipment manufacturers to showcase their future innovations, new products and best-sellers.
Held every two years, 14% of the 16,561 audited visitors for the 2006 event designated seafood as their principal reason for attending the show.
