SAMSKIP is able to move containers door-to-door between over 30 countries using its fleet of 30 container ships.
Among the main countries being serviced are Russia, Scandinavia and Iceland to Spain, Italy, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, in south and central Europe.
The Icelandic company has recently acquired Van Dieren Maritime, Seawheel and Geest North Sea Line, which has increased its fleet and improved its routing options. The fleet even includes four newbuildings delivered this year.
Containers can now be despatched by sea, road, rail and inland waterways to provide the best combination of rate and transit time to suit individual customers, according to the company.
