L KOK International Seafood BV of the Netherlands can process 2.8 tonnes of shell-on brown shrimp (Crangon crangon) per hour on its newly commissioned OctO-Frost freezing line. Manufactured by IQF Frost AB of Sweden, this equipment is more usually found in meat processing plants.
The new line, which also comprises a feeding system, spreaders, fine removers and glazing equipment from Netherlands-based Innotech Systems BV, will also be used for tropical shrimp and sprats.
