Georgia-based King & Prince Seafood announced Tuesday its plants in Redmond and Bellingham, Washington earned AA ratings, the highest available, from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) for food safety.
The AA rating is a higher level of excellence, established in 2015. BRC inspectors conducted extensive audits of each plant, examining manufacturing practices including HACCP plans, site standards, quality management, product and process controls and management commitment.
BRC certification is recognized as the global standard for food safety by thousands of retailers and suppliers in over 100 countries.
