High-pressure-processing firm Avure is sold

JBT Corporation on Tuesday said it has acquired Avure Technologies, Inc. for $57 million (€54 million).

Avure is a leader in High Pressure Processing (HPP) technology, which is used throughout the seafood and other food industries.

JBT Corporation is a global leader in food and beverage processing solutions. With the addition of Avure Technologies, JBT is expanding its clean-label solutions for fresh,l foods and beverages with a longer shelf life, the company said.

Avure’s HPP uses ultra-high pressure purified water to keep packaged food pathogen-free to stay fresh longer.

At
