DANISH company Maskinfabriken Runi, which produces screw compactors for waste and packing materials, has introduced a compactor designed to meet the needs of smaller fish processors as well as supermarkets.
Known as the Runi Type SK120, the new model will compact expanded polystyrene (EPS) fish boxes in a ratio of 50:1. The boxes are compacted into 300 kg/sq m dense blocks measuring 120x120mm.
The EU-approved Runi SK120 is equipped with a meter to adjust compaction and a stainless steel matrix and press chamber.
