Channel Fish purchased a 68,000 square foot Boston-area processing facility from US Foods late last year and CFO Kevin Pickett told IntraFish the company hopes to have it revamped and up and running by the end of this year.

The plan is to gut the inside of the facility and "create a state-of-the-art processing facility for fresh and value-added products," Pickett said.

Boston-based Channel Fish is also planning an addition to the building, currently in the design process, to add a few thousand more square feet to the building.
