‘IN Norway the longliners Vonar and Vestkapp have the Dyrkorn system installed and they have been using it with good results. Now, Vestkapp has been sold and the owners are building new vessels with this system ordered for both of them,’ says Hallvard Klokkersund. He says that disinfecting takes less than half an hour and, on the longliners, this is done several times a week.
‘It’s not a problem to install the system so that it is split. This means that the fish handling area and the fishing gear area can be separate.’
