Back to basics with world's 'fastest' robot

A 'SIMPLIFIED' robotics program will be demonstrated at Pack Expo in the US at the end of this month.

Recognising that some operators remain fearful of the complexity of programming robot lines, Swedish ABB Robotic's new PickMaster 5 is claimed to simplify the integration of picking, packing and palletising via a simple intuitive interface.

ABB claims that PickMaster 5 is the fastest tool for guiding robots in the packaging process, including picking, packing and palletising. The PC-based software product uses graphical interfaces to configure applications where up to 16 robots may work in a team along conveying belts.
