DUTCH shrimp trader and processor Heiploeg of Lauwersoog is to buy 14 shrimp peeling machines from Kant Garnalenpelmachines of Westerlee, according to Visserijnieuws. The machines will be installed at fish processing company Koert Sterkenburg.
Four machines have been running in trials for 18 months with good results.
'That went well', says Willem Smit of Heiploeg. 'The machines are not expensive and the output was good. The four peeling machines will be adjusted and in all we want to install 14 machines there.'
