With many Norwegian salmon operations taking a break over the Christmas holiday, production volumes are expected to be low, which producers say will drive up prices over the next week.
At the moment, prices are varying widely. "This week, prices have varied something huge. At 3-4 kilograms, prices vary between NOK 45 and NOK 54 per kilogram," one exporter told IntraFish.
