Norway's farmed salmon industry is seeing prices soften and inventory build quickly as demand from the global foodservice sector plummets.
One exporter told IntraFish buyers are trying to purchase at a price below NOK 50 (€4.30/$4.70) per kilogram, a far cry from the NOK 53 (€4.50/$5.00) per kilogram farmers are asking.
