The recently appointed CEO of Thai Union-owned Red Lobster, the largest seafood restaurant chain in the United States, announced her resignation on Monday, just eight months into the role.

Kelli Valade will officially step down on April 15. Red Lobster said it will immediately begin a search for a successor.

Valade joined Red Lobster in August 2021. Under her leadership, she created a new strategic framework for the restaurant chain and built out the executive team, adding the newly created roles of chief marketing officer and chief information officer and recruiting a new chief financial officer.
