Longtime industry veteran Joe Collins passed away Jan. 14 at his home in British Columbia, Canada.
Collins' seafood sales career spanned 30 years with stints at Pacific National Group, Calkins and Burke, Paradise Bay/Marine Harvest, and most recently at Sea Agra. He was an early and successful participant in British Columbia’s salmon aquaculture industry.
"Joe was a unique and exceptional person -- smart, honest, dedicated and hard working. And, his incredible sense of humor and effuse personality endeared him to a vast network of seafood industry friends, associates, customers and suppliers," said Sea Agra's Ralph Shaw.
"Collins was a proud and loving father and grandfather who cherished his three lovely and talented daughters, Courtney, Brittney and Alex, and five grandchildren."
