Industry veteran Marc Turano has joined Cuna del Mar-backed aquaculture tech firm Innovasea as vice president of land-based aquaculture.
Turano, an expert in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), fish nutrition and fish physiology, has more than 25 years of experience in the aquaculture sector.
“Marc’s deep aquaculture experience, impressive academic record and impeccable business instincts make him the perfect choice to lead our growing land-based aquaculture business,” said Innovasea CEO David Kelly.
“His strong vision and leadership skills will be vital as we continue to expand our RAS design/build business and broaden our expertise in land-based fish farming.”
Prior to joining Innovasea, Turano spent nearly five years at Cargill as sales director for the feed producer's seafood business.
