The project, called Aqua Max, was welcomed by representatives from China during the opening of an international seminar on food safety recently held in Beijing.
NIFES Managing Director Oyvind Lie presented an outline of the project, which focuses on the use of plant oil in fish feed.
“There are 28 partners in this project, among other countries from China and the European Union," Lie told IntraFish after the address in Beijing. "We have already carried out a fair amount of research on the use of alternative raw materials in fish feed, but we are now applying for support for [this] completely new program.”
