Findus Group, owned by private equity giant Lion Capital, is heavily focused on pushing is frozen branded business in Europe, leading to speculation its fresh business might be considered non-core.
However, a spokesman for the company confirmed to IntraFish Findus is not considering a sale of The Seafood Company.
“The Seafood Company plays an important role within the Findus Group as the chilled retailer brand business. There has been no structural change in the relationship between group and The Seafood Company,” said the spokesman.
