With its receivership in the rear-view mirror and newly secured financing and partnership with Resource One, seafood processor Yihe is developing a series of marinades and dry rubs for an expanded flavored salmon product line.

Depending on their success, 8 to 10 new marinated products will launch sometime this year with flavors including honey lemon glaze, honey glaze, lime and chipotle glaze, garlic herb, garlic chipotle, Asian teriyaki, sweet chili, BBQ, and Chicago steak rub.

The goal is to take advantage of salmon's popularity and match it with consumer profiles, trends and a customization of unique, local spices and flavors to create regional demand, said Steven Chen, Yihe's president and CEO.
