Yihe’s court appointed receiver James Wong reiterated Tuesday he is not, and has not been working with the company’s owner Steven Chen in order to defraud alleged creditors including seafood supplier Qingdao Yijia Native Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd., (Yijia) and again disputed Yijia claims of ownership of the estimated $20 million (€14.9 million) worth of frozen seafood products currently in cold storage in Los Angeles.
Wong told IntraFish Tuesday the frozen products are packaged and ready to sell to retail giants Walmart and Costco, but storage space has stunted his ability to move them.
