Hagoromo Foods Corporation posted an operating profit of JPY 2.14 billion (€15.8 million/$18 million) in its third quarter results, an increase of 239 percent on the previous quarter.
This was largely due to price revisions on some of its major items -- yellowfin tuna and bonito -- resulting in ordinary earnings of JPY 2.3 billion (€17.3 million/$19.7 million), up 138 percent. Sales were recorded at JPY 57.4 billion (€424 million/$483 million), or up 2.3 percent from the same quarter last year.
