The Parties to the Nauru Agreement (PNA) and the Pacific Small Islands Developing States (PSIDS) celebrate World Tuna Day on Monday with an event at the United Nations, which is the first time there has been an official celebration at the UN since the PNA Ministers declared May 2 as World Tuna Day in 2011.

The event includes a discussion on “tuna fisheries and its linkages to Sustainable Development for the Pacific Small Island Developing States (PSIDS)” and a Pacific delegates reception.
