California resident Heney Shihad filed a class-action lawsuit against US canned tuna company Wild Planet Foods at the end of last month in a northern district court of California alleging the firm underfilled canned tuna products.
Shihad alleges the 5-ounce cans of branded tuna produced and distributed by Wild Planet Foods, Inc. are underfilled, according to independent testing conducted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the court documents show.
The aggregate claims of all members of the proposed class are in excess of $5 million (€4.38
