Fish Friday is in full swing for Lent with more and more fast food chains adding seafood options to their menus. The most recent is Columbus, Ohio-based burger chain White Castle.
White Castle brought back the popular Shrimp Nibblers for Lent. The nibblers are bite-size breaded butterfly shrimp and are available for a limited time at its almost 400 restaurants in 12 states.
On the permanent menu, there are fish sliders, fish nibblers, both with breaded Alaskan pollock, and clam strips.
With Lent in full swing, many other eateries debuted seafood options: Church's new butterfly shrimp meal, Shoney's with several fish selections and Quizno's, with its new lobster and seafood salad ciabatta, Burger King's new Spicy Big Fish Sandwich, Krystal's new pollock fish combo, Popeyes new Cajun Surf and Turf and Arby's seasonal Alaska pollock fish sandwich.
