UK processor Whitby Seafoods launched fry free scampi bites -- a blend of scampi and premium whitefish in breadcrumb -- tailored for education sector catering, the company said Monday.
The bites, which have never been fried, are free from artificial colors, flavors and preservatives and have a sweet and mild flavor, which "children will love," Whitby said, adding the product meets nutritional guidelines for UK schools.
