You can be forgiven if you don’t understand when and what Russian pollock fish will be eligible to be sold as MSC-certified product.

First, it’s important to establish that the Russian Sea of Okhotsk pollock fishery is not yet certified. Potential objections can be filed up until Feb. 12, and the dust from that is not yet settled.

Most industry members agree the objections process is not likely to cause any major delay – neither the At-Sea Pollock Association (APA) or WWF have any new complaints they have not already lodged, so it is unlikely those arguments would change any minds.
