When bird flu was detected at a turkey farm in the United Kingdom, consumers turned to pork and fish instead of the more usual chicken. This trend is bound to continue, especially after last weekend when the U.K. press was full of articles on the possible recall of turkeys from store shelves.

The bird flu case should focus the seafood industry on giving the consumers more organic seafood. It shouldn’t be a problem to give consumers a choice between organic or non-organic seafood.
