Next week, top executives and investors will gather in New York to hear insights into the secrets and future outlook of the industry, especially pertaining to investing in seafood.
IntraFish Media will bring investors, seafood executives and other industry watchers together once again for its Seafood Investor Forum on May 28 at the Roosevelt Hotel in downtown New York City.
With aquaculture booming across the globe, investment potential abounds.
But classic aquaculture models are showing growth limits, and new technology is heralding expansion in new regions of the land and sea, and promising a potentially more efficient, more sustainable model for the future.
Three innovators will reveal and discuss their own distinct visions for how the sector can grow and expand beyond traditional aquaculture models in a panel entitled The New Blue: Finding Value in Aquaculture's New Frontiers.
Panelists include Scott E. Nichols, director at Verlasso, Ian Trahar, chairman of Seafarms Group, and Neil Anthony Sims, CEO and co-founder of Kampachi Farms.
Together they will explore what new frontiers are opening up for aquaculture expansion and development, and where investors should look for emerging investment opportunities.
They will also touch on the risks investors are facing when backing new technologies in the aquaculture sector, explore who is currently financing the latest technologies, and if it is enough to scale the operations.
