The changes in the Arctic Ocean region being caused by warming temperatures are so new, participants at Monday's opening session of the International Arctic Fisheries Symposiumin in Anchorage, Alaska found themselves asking the same question: Just what constitutes the Arctic region?
The answer is, depends who you ask.
Everyone seems to have an opinion on what should or should not be included in the definition, but all participants seemed to agree on one thing -- a definition is needed so all stakeholders know what each other is talking about.
