Two former supervisors at a Dutch Harbor seafood plant were sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Anchorage to jail time for Clean Air Act violations, reports adn.com.
The charges stemmed from James Hampton, the former assistant chief engineer for Westward Seafoods and Raul Morales, former powerhouse supervisor falsifying data to cover up that they intentionally failed to operate air pollution systems.
Hamton and Morales were sentenced to 70 days and 45 days, respectively, according to U.S District Attorney’s Office in Alaska.
They were also both ordered to a pay $1,000 fine, and undergo a year of supervised release.
