Seafood companies from around Wales headed to Ireland this week to learn how to grow both catch and profits on a three-day visit organized by the Welsh Government Seafood Cluster.
The trip, which aimed "to highlight current innovation that exists within the Irish seafood market and consider who it could be replicated here in Wales," is part of the Welsh government's Business Development Programme, which helps Welsh fisheries businesses create job and sustain economic growth, the group said.
“We are excited to be part of this trip, particularly a visit to the Seafood Development Centre, a dedicated innovation center for the industry - something we don’t have in Wales.
