More than 600 fishermen in Wales are now being represented by one association, fighting for their rights as well as working towards a sustainable future, reported the Daily Post.

The Welsh Fishermen's Association (WFA) will represent six associations across Wales -- North Wales Fishermen's Co-operative, Lln Fisherman's Association, Llyn Pot Fishermen's Association, Cardigan Bay Fisherman's Association Ltd, South and West Wales Fishing Communities Ltd and Welsh Inshore Scallop Association.

Lln fisherman and WFA member Sion Williams, of Porth Colmon, said: “There are 400 boats registered in Wales and crews of over 600 with many others dependent on the fishing industry.
