The company has been for sale for more than six months, following the death of its founder, Barry Bowen, who died in March in a plane crash in Belize.

The company’s entire shrimp farming and processing operation is for sale, at an asking price of $37.5 million (€28.3 million), Tim Tully of Massachusetts-based investment bank Tully & Holland, which is handling the deal, told IntraFish.

“We are trying to get this closed in the next few months,” he said. “We are very eager and very motivated to sell.”
