The value of shrimp sales at UK retailers decreased 3.8 percent for the year ended Jan. 3, falling to £412.1 million (€556.3 million/$634.6 million), compared to the previous year’s £428.5 million (€578.5 million/$659.9 million) in sales, according to the latest Nielsen statistics.

In terms of volume, shrimp saw a 4.5 percent decrease from last year, falling to 32,510 metric tons from 37,421 metric tons.
