The world's largest retailer says it's looking to find other sources of farmed salmon, as problems in Chile are leading to a reduction in supply.
"At Wal-mart, food safety is a top priority. We continue to source salmon from Chile; however, due to recent events in Chile, there is currently a limited supply of Chilean salmon," the company said in an e-mail to IntraFish.
"To ensure we continue to serve our customers and offer the products they are looking for, we are working to identify additional sources of Atlantic salmon to compliment our current offerings of Chilean salmon."
