Crab bearing his company’s brand is being sold in two-pound boxes in some Wal-Mart stores. The boxes feature a picture of Hansen’s boat the Northwestern and the signature of "Capt. Sig." On the back side, the crab is identified as a product of Russia packed in the United States.
Some of the crab came from Bellevue, Wash.-based Global Fishing, whose CEO is in prison in Russia accused of money laundering and participating in a massive poaching operation that illegally exported millions of pounds of king crab to the United States, according to Russian press reports.
