Villa Sales goes solo after ownership reshuffle at parent

After SalMar and Leroy Seafood Group gained control over Villa Organic, Villa Sales was sold to employees and has now become an independent salmon exporter "standing on its own two feet."

“I had an agreement that I could buy out Villa Sales, and that’s exactly what happened. The staff are also in on the owner side,” Ove Magnar Thu, managing director at Villa Sales, told IntraFish.

He holds 90 percent of the shares in the company, while the last 10 percent are owned by other employees.
